Example subroutines for ALE tutorial

Hello,

I am working on C_S v3.1.3 and am looking for the source files to go with the ALE tutorial on the website but my installation does not have these included in the examples folder. The tutorial is for version 2 of CS so I would assume these are available for v3?

Is it possible for them to be emailed to me, or to be posted here?

Is it possible then to get the user subroutines from the old tutorial? I cannot find them in the tutorial files for my install.

Hello,

I unfortunately don’t have those files. This is a general problem with some “one-shot” tutorials which were written in Word by users outside the core dev. team, who just provided the document, but failed to provide the meshes, or at least to place them in a central repository (and this is also why those docs are hard to update…).

I’ll try to see if I can find the original authors and get the files, and keep you informed, but don’t get your hopes too high…

If I can’t find the original tutorial mesh, I’ll post the mesh from our vortex-shedding (cylinder) test case, which is quite similar.

I’ll check on Monday.

I have the mesh, it was more the subroutine version of the tutorial. If you have that for your cylinder case that would be great.
